Country Club Prep Continues Brick-and-Mortar Expansion with Second Store Opening
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) November 11, 2014 -- Country Club Prep, the first and only one-stop e-commerce retailer for preppy apparel, is hosting the grand opening of its second brick-and-mortar store in Lexington, Kentucky, just four months after its first location opened in Charlottesville, Virginia. While the Charlottesville location will remain the flagship store for the brand, the Lexington opening is an important milestone because it will serve as the prototype for all future brick-and-mortar stores. The award-winning retailer of preppy fashions plans to replicate the Lexington store’s Southern inspired, easy-going, yet efficient shopping experience in all future expansions, while highlighting the unique culture of each city.
Launched from a basement in 2012 by two former attorneys turned preppy fashion pros, Country Club Prep has experienced triple digit growth annually. Building on their online success as the “Zappos for prepsters,” co-founders Matt Watson and Stephen Glasgow are now turning their focus to the brick-and-mortar shopping experience.
“We are thrilled to continue our brick-and-mortar expansion in Lexington. While Country Club Prep has found great success online, the founders realized there was opportunity to shake up the traditional brick-and-mortar space. Opening two stores in four months, the preppy retailers plan to continue expanding into college and resort towns.
“By the end of 2015, we hope to open several stores open across the country,” said Matt Watson, co-founder. “Having the Lexington store as our prototype will make future expansions streamlined, although we always plan to feature the individual communities’ best preppy qualities.”
