Maui Wowi Hawaiian Gains Momentum in Colorado Market

“Since completing training at the company headquarters, the experience has been very fast paced, yet very fulfilling,” said Gerber. “Training covered a lot of important areas but there is still a lot to learn and apply out in the field.”
Gerber says he has benefited from having other Colorado franchisees nearby. In addition to the support system from headquarters, he can count on the operators who came before him.
“The support I’ve received from my ‘ohana (family) members has been outstanding. They have answered so many questions and provided so much wisdom, experience, and advice,” he said. “They have mentored me on everything from how to secure events, to what kind of truck to buy.”
That built in support system is what continues to make the Maui Wowi franchise thrive. Originally established in 1982 in Utah by Jeff and Jill Summerhays, the fun Hawaiian themed concept has taken its show on the road to offer fresh fruit smoothies and premium coffee across the United States and beyond. With more than 450 operating units, which include mobile carts, catering units, kiosks, and brick and mortar stores, the company aims to build an even stronger presence in Colorado.
Gerber will be blending smoothies and brewing coffee at an event this weekend, September 12-14, 2014 for the Holly Berry Folk Art Festival in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
