Simon Maple Awarded Java Champion Status

The Java Champions are an exclusive group of passionate Java technology and community leaders. They are community-nominated and selected under a project sponsored by Oracle and have the opportunity to provide feedback, ideas, and direction to help grow the Java Platform.
Simon is a Technical Evangelist at ZeroTurnaround, founder of the vJUG (virtualJUG) and an active member of the London Java Community (LJC) organizing group as well as being part of the Java Community Process Executive Committee (JCP EC). Prior to ZeroTurnaround, Simon was a tester, developer and technical evangelist for IBM on the WebSphere Application Server for 12 years.
Simon has been invaluable to the growth of ZeroTurnaround. His responsibility and commitment to the company and the community are exhibited in his willingness to help in all aspects of the business: attending conferences, meeting with customers, writing reports for the company content site RebelLabs, running the vJUG and much more.
