Her lawsuit alleged disability discrimination, wrongful termination, and violations of FMLA, FEHA, the California Family Rights Act, and common law. Klinedinst attorneys Greg Garbacz and Jasmin Morad, representing the Aquarium, filed a Motion for Summary Judgment, asking the Court to dismiss the case since the Aquarium had acted appropriately and in excess of what was legally required. After a two week trial, the members of the jury disagreed, finding for the defense on all five causes of action. The volunteers spent their holidays digging foundations for three dormitories, building a new shower facility, and rehabilitating and painting existing structures.
