CDPHP Named First Capital Region Health Plan to Receive Diabetes Incentive Program Endorsement

The New York State Health Foundation (NYSHealth) has named CDPHP one of the first health plans to achieve its new Diabetes Incentive Program Endorsement. As a central component of the Foundation’s New York State Diabetes Campaign, NYSHealth’s Diabetes Policy Center, along with national partner Bridges to Excellence, created the endorsement program to promote financial incentives to providers that drive excellence in diabetes care and outcomes. Only two other health plans serving New York have received this endorsement to date.

CDPHP® Launches Individual Medicare Choices PPO Plan in the Capital Region

CDPHP announced the launch of its individual Medicare Choices preferred provider organization (PPO) plans in Albany, Essex, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren, and Washington counties, effective January 1, 2010. With the addition of the new Capital Region counties, CDPHP Medicare Choices individual PPO plans now serve Medicare-eligibles in 23 counties, while its group PPO plans are offered in 24 New York counties.

CDPHP® Achieves Physician and Hospital Quality (PHQ) Certification through NCQA

CDPHP® recently received Physician and Hospital Quality (PHQ) Certification through the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). PHQ certification is a voluntary program that evaluates how well health plans measure and report the quality and cost of physicians and hospitals within their networks. NCQA awarded CDPHP Full PHQ Certification for all three of its affiliates--CDPHP, CDPHP UBI, and CDPHN--with a two-year certification that will be effective through July 10, 2011.
