        <![CDATA[  <P>Beginning with opening ceremonies on October 3, 2008, The first World Mind Sports Games will bring together the world&#039;s leading &quot;mind sports&quot; players (Bridge, Chess, Draughts (Checkers), Go and Xiangqi (Chinese Chess) to participate in an Olympics-style competition in Beijing, China.  U.S. players will compete in all 5 of the games. The American Go Association, US Chess Federation, US Bridge Federation and US Checkers Federation and Xiangqi organizations each have selected teams to compete in various medal events for each sport.
